COURAGEOUS

Courageous is a 2011 American independent Christian drama film directed by Alex Kendrick and written by Kendrick with his brother Stephen Kendrick. It is the fourth film by Sherwood Pictures, the creators of Flywheel, Facing the Giants, and Fireproof. Filming in Albany, Georgia concluded in June 2010. The film . was marketed by Sony's Provident Films, which also marketed their previous films.
The film was directed by Alex Kendrick, who co-wrote its screenplay with his brother Stephen Kendrick. Alex Kendrick also stars in the film, along with Ken Bevel and Kevin Downes. About half of the cast and crew were volunteers from Sherwood Baptist Church, while the remainder were brought on through invitation-only auditions.

MAY MEETING

MULOA exercise at Carey Park branch, led by Eleanor Lewin the Education and Promotion Officer.  Present were members from Busselton, Bunbury Cathedral, Mandurah and of course Carey Park.  A great session to learn more about "MU Learning, Observing and Acting" which is an exercise led from Mary Sumner House in London to look at the future progress of MU throughout the world.  A night to make us all think and "walk the walk not just talk the talk",  thanks Eleanor.

LADY DAY 26th March 2019

Our March meeting was shared with visitors              from the region and Perth as we welcomed                two visitors from Myanmar.  Ruth gave a                    wonderful talk (with Marilyn interpreting),
giving us a small insight into the problems and          hardships experienced by the women and                  children in her region.
Although the talk was both interesting and at            times confronting we were encouraged and                uplifted by the work being undertaken by MU in          Myanmar. Interestingly Ruth is married to a                Bishop and Marilyn's husband has just retired            as Archdeacon.  A shared lunch finished the              meeting, our guests then departed to visit                Bishop Ian and Anne at Bishop's Court.
